Description
Program Overview
The CITE Technology Procurement Academy offers an in-depth look at procurement best practices and resources in a K-12 IT environment. By the end of the academy, students will have gained practical skills (ex. creating a bidding matrix, procurement calendar, and board proposal) and will have a strong understanding of important procurement policies, regulations, and recent changes to the landscape. This course will take place through asynchronous online content, five (5) Zoom discussion sessions, and real-world assignments. This course is designed for professionals with at least some working knowledge of the procurement environment.
This academy might be for you if:
- You already work in technology procurement and want access to the latest best practices and regulations.
- Procurement is a part of your technology leadership role and you want to deepen your knowledge.
- You are transitioning into technology procurement but already have some working knowledge of procurement basics (i.e. legal guidelines, ed code requirements, state vs. local policies).
- Spots are limited, so make sure to register ASAP!

The Technology Procurement Academy typically runs once a year, often in the spring.
